Hello. I’m Theresa.
I have always been interested in individuals.
Their backgrounds, stories and what makes them tick fascinates me. I want the real stuff, like what is behind how each person got where they are and what they want to do next. In earlier incarnations of my career, I brought this curiosity to roles in tech management and communications agency leadership roles. I built teams and attacked ambiguity with my trademark “How could we...” thinking. In my multifaceted career, the focus of my work has always been the same: To help people find situations where they can be a remarkable version of themselves.
I’m known for being able to quickly assimilate information and determine a path forward, even amidst ambiguity. Those I work with have also recognized that I easily establish rapport, infusing situations with a steady, “big sister vibe” to help others feel grounded and heard. I pair strong listening skills and a keen eye for nuance with the ability to ask thoughtful questions and examine the implications of each choice. My background in planning and facilitation allows me to take complex, emotional situations and split them into manageable steps, crafting plans that feel actionable, compassionate and pragmatic.
In my multifaceted career, the focus of my work has always been the same: To help people find situations where they can be a remarkable version of themselves.
Along with serving as a medical power of attorney, I’ve supported the aging at home, guided families through the search for senior living communities, and held space at the end of life as a death doula and hospice volunteer. I believe that my role is to be an extension of another person, honoring their wishes and values while helping their family find clarity and confidence in uncertain times. That’s at the heart of everything I do.
And by adding the Japanese meditative art of Reiki to my capabilities, I can now offer the conditions to help the nervous system regulate and release. This practice is gentle, insightful and available to all, regardless of religious faith or affiliation. Beneficial to everyone, Reiki is exceptional for people at a personal or professional inflection point, or for those who are overburdened or navigating anxiety or loss.
I greatly appreciate the personal connections in all the work I do. I also enjoy observing the world as a small place, walking deep into the forest in the company of my dog, altering recipes while baking, traveling with my family, and collecting artful accessories.
